Limes and Saalburg are a UNESCO World Hertage Site. The entire Limes border fortifications had once 550 kilometers in length, one of the largest land constructions just after the Great Wall of China. During a walking tour you'll explore the fortress interiors and wander arond the watchtowers and ramparts. The Roman era comes to life again, the world of the soldiers, families, craftsmen and merchants who walked here thousands of years before you.

On we go through the lovely green areas of Hesse, from the Taunus hills to the lower mountain ranges of the Vogelsberg -
lovely but hidden landscapes. And very typical for our country.

Ronneburg

We make a leap in time of 1000 years. Visit to the medieval Ronneburg from the 13th century.
The mighty castle is perfectly preserved, On the way through the courtyards and interiors, which are carefully decorated with originally living and everyday objects, you get a very real impression of the living conditions in a castle in the Middle Ages.
The Ronneburg is a castle "to touch" - without watchmen and minder you can individually hike the whole plant. You have unrestricted access to the past world of knights , the maids and servants.
Bock to frankfurt. Of course, on our way through 2800 years of history we will make stops in between, also for a lunch break. You
may tase the local specialties in one of the typical old fashioned guesthouses along the way.
